Sodium Formate is a colorless, bitter salty tasting crystalline salt with reducing characteristics. It is highly hygroscopic and water soluble.
Applications
Sodium Formate is used as a main raw materialin the production of formic acid, sodium hydrosulfite, oxalic acid and sodium oxalate production, as well as an ingredient in leather tanning, oil drilling fluids, animal feed and pharmaceuticals. It is often used as an ingredient in galvanic and fixing solutions as a result of its reduction capabilities.

MKS Marmara currently produces Sodium Formate at an annual capacity of 12 000 M/T.
